I had such a 'hypnotic' time sketching out The Hulk that I wanted to do it again. I thought about all the heroes I've never drawn, and quite simply, Ben Grimm is a character I've never, EVER drawn before.

Until now.

Was playing around with Photoshop after I scanned the pencils in and couldn't decide which to post, so I posted the original pencils and the edited one side by side.

Drawn on A4 inkjet paper with an HB Faber Castell pencil.

Interesting way of coloring, looks just like you've used markers on it, along with some crayons for the background. (I assume you've only colored it digitally, given your comment about Photoshop)

either way, it's one helluva sketch, and I'm hoping we'll get to see more sketches of famous characters you haven't drawn before.

Not to drop the obvious, but these are fantastic. ^_^;

Great work! Now that I know you can do two of my favorite characters from Marvel, when next you're up for commissions, I'll know what to ask for.

Once again that rougher style really helps depict the character, as the scratchier texture really fits with the Thing's whole attitude. I also like the lighter, almost watercolour-like colour version. :) Excellent work! Very well done!
